Are you open to the public? No, we are still a working farm, so to keep everyone safe we are only open for classes and events. If you’d like to visit us, sign up for a class or contact us to schedule a private party.

Dahlia Tubers

OUR GUARANTEE

Tubers are sold as a single (1) tuber or clumps when available of varieties that we have an over abundance with at least one eye. All tubers come in an array of shapes and sizes and do not dictate the quality of the tuber. We guarantee all tubers will be shipped with a visible eye and will be true to the variety purchased. The customer has 10 days to inspect the tuber upon delivery and is responsible for contacting us if unsatisfied with tuber and we will refund or replace. After 10 days of delivery, we are no longer responsible for tuber production due to growing conditions and mother nature.

Labeling

Our goal every year is to have 50 rows of dahlias that are planted with a different cut flower each year (zinnia, celosia, strawflower etc.) They are planted into 50 ft rows separated by 5 ft of grass walkways. There is only one variety of dahlia per row. At the end of the year, we use a potato digger to pull up the dahlia tubers and are picked up in crates and labeled by row. We then wash and separate the tubers one variety at a time to ensure they do not get mixed. In 2026, we will begin marking the tubers with a colored waterproof marker to ensure varieties. Due to the steps we take to ensure tubers do not get mixed, we cannot be held responsible for mislabels as there are so many variables that can occur in personal gardens or orders sent from other vendors.

Our tubers and fields are inspected and approved by the Iowa Department of Agriculture. We remove plants showing visible signs of illness during the growing season, sanitize cutting tools between plants and tuber clumps and only use organic methods and beneficial insects to keep pests controlled. That being said, by purchasing you accept the fact that dahlias sometimes get sick, just like any other plant, and virus is not 100% avoidable. 

Ordering

All orders are first come first serve. Purchases are not reserved in your cart. Items could be removed from your cart if sold out prior to your check out. Orders cannot be combined, and each order will have its own shipping charge.

Shipping

All orders will be shipped after the first week in April or once all frost has passed via US Priority Mail. Due to our schedules, we are not able to hold or ship orders early.
